In this way, someone can have access to all the software and data of a remote computer.

Prerequisites If you want to remotely access your own desktop PC, you must first have PHHP IT authorize you and your desktop computer for remote access. Then find the name of your desktop computer: • Log into the computer that you want to connect to remotely • Look at the My Computer icon on the desktop.

It should look something like My Computer PHHP-02124130Z. • The computer name is the part beginning with PHHP. Your computer name will be different from this example. Write down the name of your computer and take this home with you. Lastly, leave your computer on.
