Do you have a new Mac with a USB C port and too many old USB things you want to connect to it? My wife does, so I got this USB C hub for her. It has 3 USB 3 ports and a USB C port, so it isn't merely a USB 3 adapter. She can plug in her external hard drive for pictures and our old printer (that isn't wireless).
It can also read the SD cards from our camera which saves us from using another adapter. The HDMI output is also nice, though the Ethernet port is less useful as everything is WiFi these days. It seems like that could have been better used as another USB port, but maybe that's just me. The unit itself surprised me with its weight. It's heavy for its size and not fragile.

I just tested this thing out, and it works really well. It feels really well made, and the sockets have a firm and satisfying feel when I plug into them. The device really feels solid all the way around. Great for slide shows, etc.
I plugged it in to my monitor, and it was ready to go right out of the box with no setup. Pros: Simple, responsive, feels high quality. Cons: A little expensive considering that they have wireless devices that do a similar thing as this that aren't much more pricey.

I keep everything plugged in the hub pretty much at all times even when I'm not using it (printer, external hard drive, HDMI, charge cable). So when I come home, I plug in 1 cable and all of my peripherals work right away. I used the HooToo hub prior to this one and had to return it because it didn't automatically detect HDMI. I would have to constantly unplug and plug the HDMI cable to get it to work.
I edit videos, so the microSD card slot is perfect on this one - no SD card adapter needed, though it does have a port for it. The color is accurate to the Macbook's space grey color. Durable build including the cable itself. The only warning I would give about this hub is that it interfered with my Logitech Performance MX mouse. Recently bought a brand new MacBook Pro, which only has USB-C interfaces. I spent some time searching the various options, including the Apple solution (buy multiple dongles; one for each thing you want to plug into - no way!). Then I came across the Lention Multiport Hub.
I’d never heard of the company before, but after using it for a week I am impressed! There is no setup at all - just plug it in. Each interface worked flawlessly. Now I can make full use of my MacBook and still connect to everything I need. AMAZING product for the price! I've had this almost a year now and don't use it very much.
One I first got it, I checked it and worked as it should. But it would not recognize when I tried to plug my phone into it. Everything thing else was fine.
