I was having massive hitches after this latest patch, so verified files (found nothing) and then restarted Fortnite and went into playground. Played about 5 games, and no issues whatsoever. I was having awful performance last night in STW (before this latest patch) inside missions (as well as having the long loading times). If later this evening in STW I'm having these hitching issues, I'm hoping this will also fix it. I'm hoping this IS the issue, that you guys can fix it, and that I can play hitch-free soon.
