Macintosh Excel ONLY allows add-ins created in VBA. Therefore it is highly unlikely that conversion of a windows Excel add-in will be successful. If the Add-in is written in VBA it is perfectly possible to code it in such a way to have it work on both platforms. Get a VBA add-in for Word or Excel for Mac On the Tools menu, select Add-Ins. In the Add-Ins available box, select the add-in you want, and then click OK.
I know a workaround, but you need to be able to edit the VBA Code in Windows first and save your Macro-enabled.xlsm spreadsheet as a.xlam file.
