Driver For Mac Osx 10.7.5 Updates
After having to reset my Airport Extreme because it was not communicating over WiFI with my ios devices (iPad and iPhone), it has apparently knocked off the printer communication capabilities. Got a 'communication error' message. Change default font office 365. Per some of the forums, I went into preferences/(print and scan) and deleted the printer hoping to add it back in and am now stuck. The add printer dialog box is greyed out and will not add a printer. I added all the current driver updates.
Before I just tether the computer to the back of the Mac via USB to print that way, I was hoping there might be a solution to restore wireless communication. Anyone have any solutions? If you tried to print using the MP620 printer that was created for the USB connection, then you will get this 'printer not connected' message because the printer USB cable is not physically connected to the Mac. If you only have the one MP620 printer in Print & Scan then you will need to create another printer for when the MP620 is connected to your wireless. To do this, with Print & Scan open, click the plus button and with the Default view selected you should see the MP620. Note that it may first show with Bonjour Scanner in the Kind column.
Best portable hdd. This is for the scanner component. If you wait a bit longer, a second MP620 should appear showing canonijnetwork in the Kind column. Select this one and the Print Using menu should change to Canon MP620 series. Click Add to complete and then try a print to this MP620. Another thing to note. With 2 MP620's appearing in the printers list, you want to make sure you know which is the correct one. By selecting say the USB connected printer (which will show your computers name in the Location field when you select it in Print & Scan) you can change its name by selecting Options & Supplies then the General tab.
In the Name field you may want to change this to MP620 USB. Or change the wireless connection to MP620 WiFi.
